MATT FAULKNER
Co-Founder (Engineering Director)
Matt is an experienced Motorsports Engineer with a background rooted in race engineering, vehicle builds and the world of rallying itself.
His career has taken him through several well-respected engineering teams including Vauxhall Motorsport, The Little Car Company, Lunaz and Venture Engineering. Across these roles he has worked on chassis development, gearbox assembly, powertrain sub-systems, test and validation, and bespoke motorsport fabrication.
Matt has played a key role in developing competitive cars across rally, endurance and single-venue formats.
He has delivered multiple race wins as both a driver and engineer, most notably in the Honda Civic EP3 endurance programme where the car achieved first place results at Croft in both Club Enduro and Roadsports.
His engineering input has supported wins in tarmac rallying as well, including assisting in the preparation and setup of vehicles competing in British Rally Championship events - in particular, Faulkner Motorsports' Suzuki Swift that recently won the 1400 class at Outlton Park in November 2025.
His technical strengths include:
- Chassis and suspension geometry setup for circuit and rally applications
- Gearbox and differential assembly including dogbox, plated LSD and ATB units
- Detailed sub-assembly work, wiring and plumbing for high-performance builds
- Fabrication support on custom roll cages, reinforced shells and modified turrets
- Diagnostic and test work to refine handling characteristics and power delivery
At Faulkner Motorsport he leads the technical side of the workshop, ensuring every build meets the standard required for competitive use.
Whether developing full ground-up race cars, refining suspension geometry or preparing drivetrains for endurance reliability, Matt brings a practical, competition-tested approach built on real race experience and proven results.
ASH ANTONY
Co-Founder (Commercial Director)
Ash manages the operational and commercial side of Faulkner Motorsport.
His background includes leadership roles within Logistics & Customer Service, where he gained experience in managing large teams and delivering complex site launch projects and improving internal processes - with a continual focus on improving the experience for the customer and staff alike.
His people-first approach now underpins how the business operates day to day and he ensures every project runs smoothly from the first enquiry through to handover, handling scheduling, communication, budget planning and workflow organisation. He also manages procurement and sourcing, making sure that the team always has the right parts, materials and components for each build without compromising on quality or timelines.
